Installation [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    HINT: 

    When re-using the fan and generator V belt, check the entire circumference of the belt for wear and cracks on the ribs and rear side. Replace belts where wear and cracks have advanced to the wire core and belts with missing rib rubber.

    1. Install the fan and generator V belt as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Water Pump Assembly
      *2 No. 2 Idler Pulley Sub-assembly
      *3 Compressor Assembly with Pulley
      *4 Crankshaft Pulley
      *5 Idler Pulley Sub-assembly (V-ribbed Belt Tensioner Assembly)
      *6 Generator Assembly
      NOTE:

      Hook the back surface side of the fan and generator V belt onto the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly and idler pulley sub-assembly.

    2. Rotate the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise, and then remove the 5 mm hexagon wrench.
    3. Check that the fan and generator V belt is properly set to each pulley.

    4. Start the engine and check that the fan and generator V belt turns smoothly and no abnormal noise occurs.
  2. INSTALL STRUT BAR BRACKET SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 179 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 179 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 180 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 179 [10/2023 - ]

  3. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 180 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 180 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 181 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 180 [10/2023 - ]

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 183 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 183 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 184 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 183 [10/2023 - ]

  5. INSTALL OIL PAN PROTECTOR (for 2WD) 

    See step  17 [12/2017 - 11/2021], or see step  17 [11/2021 - ]

  6. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 189 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 189 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 189 [10/2023 - ]

  7. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 190 [10/2023 - ]

  8. INSTALL RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 192 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 191 [10/2023 - ]

  9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
