Removal [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR (for Bank 1) 

    See step  3

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR (for Bank 2) 

    See step  2

  5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2023 - ]

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose from the fuel vapor feed pipe.

  7. REMOVE FUEL VAPOR FEED PIPE 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Remove the fuel vapor feed hose from the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.
  8. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. Remove the bolt and detach the 3 clamps and disconnect the engine wire.
  9. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET 
    1. Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the No. 2 engine wire.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and wire harness clamp bracket.
  10. REMOVE FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and fuel pipe protector bracket.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 TURBO INSULATOR 

    See step  5

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the purge VSV connector.

      *1 Purge VSV
    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 fuel vapor feed hose from the fuel vapor feed pipe sub-assembly.
    3. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 fuel vapor feed hose from the fuel vapor feed pipe sub-assembly.
    4. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly RH.
  13. REMOVE PURGE VSV 
    1. Remove the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose.

    2. Remove the screw and purge VSV.
  14. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the 2 No. 1 check valves from the vacuum switching valve bracket sub-assembly.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED PIPE 
    1. Remove the No. 2 fuel vapor feed pipe from the 2 fuel vapor feed hoses.
  16. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE 
    1. Remove the 2 No. 2 fuel vapor feed hoses from the 2 No. 1 check valves.
  17. REMOVE NO. 1 CHECK VALVE 
    1. Fuel Vapor Feed Hose Assembly Side:
      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 check valve from the No. 5 fuel vapor feed hose.
    2. No. 2 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose Assembly Side:
      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 check valve from the No. 4 fuel vapor feed hose.
  18. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED CONNECTOR 
    1. Fuel Vapor Feed Hose Assembly Side:
      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 fuel vapor feed hose from the No. 1 fuel vapor feed connector.
      2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 fuel vapor feed hose from the No. 1 fuel vapor feed connector.
    2. No. 2 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose Assembly Side:
      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 fuel vapor feed hose from the No. 1 fuel vapor feed connector.
      2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 fuel vapor feed hose from the No. 1 fuel vapor feed connector.
