Removal [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]

  4. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX SUPPORT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [04/2020 - ]

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [03/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 2 OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [03/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 2 OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [03/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  12. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Apply protective tape at the position shown in the illustration.

    2. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the front pillar garnish clip and lift up the front pillar garnish LH.

    3. Push in the release lever with your finger and remove the front pillar garnish clip from the vehicle.
      NOTE:

      If there is extreme damage to the front pillar garnish clip, replace it with a new one.

    4. When the front pillar garnish clip cannot be detached by pressing the knobs with the fingers:

        Lift up the front pillar garnish clip in the direction (A) while pressing the portion indicated by the arrow in the illustration with your fingers.

        Direction (B)
        Release Lever
        Push

        Push in the portion indicated by the arrow in the illustration with the screwdriver end while pulling the front pillar garnish clip with your fingers in the direction (B) to detach the front pillar garnish clip.

        NOTE:

        If there is extreme damage to the front pillar garnish clip, replace it with a new one.

    5. Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the clip.

    6. Pull the front pillar garnish LH in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the guides and remove the front pillar garnish LH.

    7. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

      *a Protective Cover
      Adhesive Tape
      1. Cover the airbag with a cloth or piece of nylon and secure both ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.

  13. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the opposite side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH(FLOOR ANCHOR) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH(FLOOR ANCHOR) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH 
    1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the claws and remove the quarter inside trim board LH.

    5. Detach the guide in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the seat belt guide LH.
    6. Pull out the seat belt guide LH and front seat outer belt assembly LH (floor anchor) from the center pillar garnish assembly LH and remove the center pillar garnish assembly LH.
  24. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.

  27. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip and roof side trim garnish clip.

    3. Push in the release lever with your finger, detach the roof side trim garnish clip from the vehicle and remove the roof side rail garnish assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      If there is extreme damage to the roof side trim garnish clip, replace it with a new one.

    4. When the roof side trim garnish clip cannot be detached by pressing the knobs with the fingers:

        Lift up the roof side trim garnish clip in the direction (A) while pressing the portion indicated by the arrow in the illustration with your fingers.

        Release Lever
        Push

        Push in the portion indicated by the arrow in the illustration with the screwdriver end while pulling the roof side trim garnish clip with your fingers in the direction (B) to detach the roof side trim garnish clip.

        NOTE:

        If there is extreme damage to the roof side trim garnish clip, replace it with a new one.

  28. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  29. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the inner upper roof side garnish clips.

    2. Push in the release lever with your finger and remove the inner upper roof side garnish clips from the vehicle.
      NOTE:

    3. When the inner upper roof side garnish clip cannot be detached by pressing the knobs with the fingers:

        Lift up the inner upper roof side garnish clip in the direction (A) while pressing the portion indicated by the arrow in the illustration with your fingers.

        Push in the portion indicated by the arrow in the illustration with the screwdriver end while pulling the inner upper roof side garnish clip with your fingers in the direction (B) to detach the inner upper roof side garnish clip.

        NOTE:

        If there is extreme damage to the inner upper roof side garnish clip, replace it with a new one.

    4. Pull in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the guides to remove the inner roof side garnish assembly LH.

    5. Protect curtain shield airbag assembly:

      Adhesive Tape
      1. Cover the airbag with a cloth or piece of nylon and secure both ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a protective cover as soon as the inner roof side garnish assembly LH is removed.

  30. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  31. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Detach the claws and remove the visor bracket cover LH.

  33. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Pull in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration (1) to detach the visor assembly LH from the visor holder LH.

    3. Pull in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration (2) and remove the visor assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      Do not twist or remove the visor assembly in any direction other than downwards as the connector may become damaged.

  37. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER LH 
    1. Turn the visor holder LH end approximately 90° in direction (1) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and pull it out in direction (2) indicated by the arrow.

    2. Detach the claws and remove the visor holder LH.
  38. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER RH

    2. Front pillar LH part:
      1. Remove the protective cover installed to the front pillar LH.
      2. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      3. Using a clip remover, detach the clamps and disconnect the No. 1 roof wire.
      4. Install the protective cover to the front pillar LH.
    3. Remove the screw from the coat hook.

    8. Remove the roof headlining:

    9. Move the roof headlining assembly as shown in the illustration and remove it from the passenger door without making contact with the body interior.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      NOTE:
      • Check that the corners of the roof headlining assembly are free of bending, twisting and other deformation and that none of the mounted parts are falling off.
      • Do not damage the roof headlining assembly and body interior.
      • 2 or more people are required when carrying the roof headlining assembly out of the vehicle, as it may become deformed.
    10. Turn in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the 3 clips from the vehicle.
