Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal
Condition Waiting Time Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute - When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2021 - 08/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ] ).
- w/ Navigation System:
- REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
- Remove the radiator assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] ).
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [08/2020 - ]
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2020 - ]
- DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 2 return tube bracket.
- Disconnect the generator connector.
- Remove the terminal cap.
- Remove the nut and disconnect the generator wire.
- Detach the generator wire.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness bracket from the generator.
- Remove the 3 bolts, nut and generator.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 2 return tube bracket.
