Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2017 - ]

  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamps.
    3. Remove the 2 clips and hood lock release lever protector.
  3. REMOVE ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts to separate the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).

    2. Move the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    3. Disconnect the hood lock control cable to remove the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).
