DTC B2672-87: Rear Console Switch Missing Message [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the X1 cooler control switch assembly connector.

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X1-16 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      X1-1 (ACC) - Body ground ACC ON 11 to 14 V*1
      10.5 to 16 V*2
      X1-9 (B) - Body ground IG OFF 11 to 14 V*1
      10.5 to 16 V*2

      *1: w/o Stop and Start System*2: w/ Stop and Start System

      NG

    4. None

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the X1 cooler control switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G22 multi-display assembly connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X1-7 (TX+) - G23-9 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      X1-8 (TX-) - G23-10 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      X1-7 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X1-8 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. REPLACE COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the cooler control switch assembly with a new or known good one.

      HINT: 

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 60 seconds or more.
    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 60 seconds or more.

      Procedure1

    5. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B2672-87 is output B

      Post-procedure1

    6. None

    Result: 

    END (COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
