Removal [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    1. for Audio and Visual System:
      1. for 8 Inch Display:

        Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2019 - ]

      2. for 12.3 Inch Display:
        NOTE:
        • When performing the following work, the audio and visual system may restart when turning the power switch on (ACC) (due to radio receiver assembly and navigation ECU certification).
          • Repair or replace the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal due to it being disconnected or depleted.
          • The radio receiver assembly or navigation ECU replacement or removal and installation.
        • After replacing the radio receiver assembly, if the "New software is not compatible with the system. Contact your dealer." on-screen message is displayed on the multi-display, update the software of the navigation ECU.

    2. for Navigation System:
      NOTE:
      • When performing the following work, the navigation system may restart when turning the power switch on (ACC) (due to radio receiver assembly and navigation ECU certification).
        • Repair or replace the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal due to it being disconnected or depleted.
        • The radio receiver assembly or navigation ECU replacement or removal and installation.
      • After replacing the radio receiver assembly, if the "New software is not compatible with the system. Contact your dealer." on-screen message is displayed on the multi-display assembly, update the software of the navigation ECU.

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    w/o Rear No. 2 Seat: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2019 - ]

    w/ Rear No. 2 Seat: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2019 - ]

  7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ORNAMENT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  10. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT FINISH PANEL SUB 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  11. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH REGISTER 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Pull the radio receiver assembly with register toward the rear of the vehicle to disengage the 7 clips.

      Remove in this Direction
    3. Disconnect each connector and remove the radio receiver assembly with register.
  12. REMOVE CLOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE (w/ Navigation ECU) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  14. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape
      Insert Screwdriver Here
      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  15. REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.

  16. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. w/o Navigation ECU:
      1. Remove the 3 screws and No. 1 radio bracket.

    2. w/ Navigation ECU:
      1. Remove the 5 screws and No. 1 radio bracket.

  17. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. w/o Navigation ECU:
      1. Remove the 3 screws and No. 2 radio bracket.

    3. w/ Navigation ECU:
      1. Remove the 5 screws and No. 2 radio bracket.
