Installation [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the engine water pump and gasket with the 9 bolts as shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      for bolt A

      Torque: 23 N*m (235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf) 

      for bolt B

      Torque: 47 N*m (479 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf) 

      for bolt C

  2. INSTALL WATER PUMP PULLEY 
    1. Temporarily install the pulley with the 4 bolts.

    2. Using SST, hold the pulley and tighten the 4 bolts.
      • SST: 09960-10010 
        1. 09962-01000
        2. 09963-01000

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL WATER INLET HOUSING 
    1. Install a new gasket to the water pump.

    2. Install the water inlet housing with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  4. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose.

  5. CONNECT WATER INLET HOSE 
    1. Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the water inlet hose.

  6. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
  8. CONNECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (for 2WD) 
    1. Connect the dipstick guide with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  9. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 

    See step  3

  12. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  8

  13. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  15. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  17. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    See step  13

  19. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  20. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
