Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2015 - ] ).

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - ] ).

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate LH.

    2. Using moulding remover D, detach the 4 clips.

      Detach the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the cowl side trim board LH.
  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Pull the upper part of the front pillar garnish LH toward the inside of the cabin and detach the 2 clips.

      HINT: 

      Allow the front pillar garnish to hang by the front pillar garnish clip.

    2. Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nose pliers and remove it from the front pillar garnish LH.

      HINT: 

      Tape the tips of the needle-nose pliers before use.

    3. Pull the front pillar garnish LH to detach the guide and remove it.
    4. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

      Completely cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.

  12. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate LH.

    2. Using moulding remover D, detach the 3 clips.

      Detach the 7 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws and 6 clips, and remove the center lower pillar garnish LH.
  16. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE CENTER UPPER PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Detach the claw, guide and remove the center upper pillar garnish LH.
    3. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center upper pillar garnish LH.
  18. REMOVE CENTER UPPER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER LH

    1. Slide the shoulder belt anchor cover in the direction of the arrow to detach the 6 claws and remove it from the center upper pillar garnish LH.
  20. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. Detach the 6 claws and remove the rear seat side garnish LH.
  22. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. Pull the inner roof side garnish LH away from the body to detach the 4 clips (do not detach clip A).
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Clip A
    2. Detach the 2 claws of the guide, and pull the inner roof side garnish LH in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

      HINT: 

      Clip A remains attached to the body.

    3. Remove clip A from the vehicle body.
  24. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the 2 covers.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.
    3. Using moulding remover D, detach the 2 clips and remove the map light assembly.
    4. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  26. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

    1. Using moulding remover D, detach the 4 claws and remove the spot light assembly.
    2. Disconnect the connector.
  27. REMOVE REAR VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure to remove the vanity light on the other side.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the lens.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.
    3. Using moulding remover D, detach the claw and remove the vanity light assembly.
    4. Disconnect the connector.

  28. REMOVE COAT HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure to remove the hook on the other side.

    1. Remove the screw and coat hook.
  29. REMOVE ROOF SIDE REGISTER BEZEL LH (w/ Rear Cooler)

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the roof side register LH.
  30. REMOVE ROOF SIDE REGISTER BEZEL RH (w/ Rear Cooler) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  31. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for all the assist grips.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Detach the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly.
  32. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side.

    1. Using moulding remover D, detach the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.
  33. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor assembly LH.
  34. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  35. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure to remove the holder on the other side.

    1. Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.
    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.

  36. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  37. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/o Automatic High Beam System:

      (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 ).

    2. w/ Automatic High Beam System:

      (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 ).

  38. REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  39. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the roof wire connectors and detach each wire harness clamp from the front pillar LH.

      Disconnect the connector.

      Detach the hook, 12 claws, 10 fasteners and 4 clips.

      Remove the roof headlining assembly through the front of the vehicle.

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the roof headlining assembly when taking it out.

  40. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
  41. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  42. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
  43. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
