Installation [10/2015 - 05/2018]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the power steering link assembly with the 2 bolts, 2 washers and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 117.6 N*m (1199 kgf*cm, 87 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps to the power steering link assembly.

    3. Connect the 3 wire harness connectors to the power steering link assembly.

      HINT: 

      When connecting the connector with lock lever, return the lock lever to its original position and securely push in the lock of the lock lever as shown in the illustration.

  2. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the tie rod assembly LH to the steering knuckle with the nut.

      Torque: 65 N*m (663 kgf*cm, 48 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Prevent oil from adhering to the threaded and tapered parts.

    2. Install a new clip.
  3. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL STEERING SLIDING YOKE WITH SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Align the matchmarks on the steering sliding yoke with shaft sub-assembly with the matchmarks on the power steering link assembly.

      *a Matchmark
    2. Install the bolt (B) and tighten the bolt (A).

      Torque: 35.3 N*m (360 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf)

  5. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 FRAME CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 FRAME CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 OIL COOLER BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. INSTALL OIL COOLER BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  10. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 70

  11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71

  12. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 69

  13. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 72

  14. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 96

  16. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  17. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  18. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 09/2016] , or Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2016 - 09/2017] , or Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2017 - ]

  19. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2015 - ]

  20. ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR INITIALIZATION AND TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION 

    Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2015 - ]
