Removal [08/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (See article. Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2014 - ] ).

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See article. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2014 - 08/2015] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - ] ).

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  13. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

  14. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  15. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  16. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      *A w/ Pre-collision System
      *1 Pretensioner Connector

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. w/ Pre-collision System:
      1. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
