Removal [10/2017 - 11/2021]: Procedure
- RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [04/2013 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2020 - ]
- REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
for 2GR-FKS:
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - ]
for 8AR-FTS:
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
for 2GR-FKS:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2020 - ]
for 8AR-FTS:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2020 - ]
- REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
for 2GR-FKS:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2020 - ]
for 8AR-FTS:
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [09/2020 - ]
- DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE (for 2GR-FKS)
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
- Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.NOTE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
- DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE (for 8AR-FTS)
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
- Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.NOTE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
- DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE (for 2GR-FKS)
- DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE (for 8AR-FTS)
- REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 2GR-FKS)
- REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 8AR-FTS)
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Disengage the clamp.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
- Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and compressor and magnetic clutch.
HINT:
Remove the compressor and magnetic clutch from the vehicle with the stud bolts remaining in the compressor and magnetic clutch.
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
