Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 4 ignition coil assembly connectors.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  3. REMOVE SPARK PLUG 
    1. Using a 16 mm spark plug wrench, remove the 4 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
