Installation [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, temporarily install the generator assembly with the 2 stud bolts.
    2. Tighten the 2 stud bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    3. Install the generator assembly and engine wire bracket with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

    4. Connect the oil cooler tube with the bolt.

      Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf) 

    5. Connect the generator assembly connector.
    6. Connect the engine wire to terminal B with the nut.

      Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    7. Close the terminal cap.
    8. Connect the engine wire with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    9. Engage the clamp.
  2. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  3. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - ]

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 89

  8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
