Installation [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, install the stud bolt.

      Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

    2. Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt (A).

      Bolt B

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    3. Install the generator bracket with the bolt (B).

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    4. Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

    5. Install the generator bracket with the nut.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    6. Connect the engine wire with the nut.

      Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf/cm, 87 in.lbf) 

    7. Install the terminal cap.
    8. Install the engine wire bracket with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    9. Attach the 2 clamps, and connect the generator assembly connector.
  2. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Connect the wire harness with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the VVT sensor connector and camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector.
  3. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. INSTALL COOLING FAN ECU 
    1. Install the cooling fan ECU with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 2.6 N.m (27 kgf/cm, 23 in.lbf) 

    2. Connect the 3 cooling fan ECU connectors.
  5. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 1 radiator hose and slide the 2 clips to secure it.
  7. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [04/2013 - 08/2015]

  8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  9. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2014 - 08/2015]
