Removal [04/2013 - 10/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 2WD) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 10/2017]

  2. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for AWD) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 10/2017]

  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  4[04/2013 - 08/2015], or see step  4[08/2015 - 10/2017]

  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  11

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  6

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY 
    1. Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

      • SST: 09960-10010 
        1. 09962-01000
        2. 09963-00700
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.
  11. REMOVE WATER INLET 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the water inlet.

      *1 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose
      *3 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose
      *4 No. 6 Water By-pass Hose
      *5 Radiator Reserve Tank Hose
    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the water inlet.
    3. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the water inlet.
    4. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the water inlet.
    5. Slide the clip and disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose from the water inlet.
    6. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and water inlet.

    7. Remove the No. 1 water inlet housing gasket and water outlet pipe O-ring.

      *1 No. 1 Water Inlet Housing Gasket
      *2 Water Outlet Pipe O-ring
  12. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt, No. 2 idler pulley cover plate and No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 16 bolts, engine water pump assembly and water pump gasket.
