Instrument Panel Safety Pad: Disassembly: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 3 screws <F> and the No. 1 heater to register duct.

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 3 screws <F> and the No. 3 heater to register duct.

  3. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 
    1. Remove the screw <F> and the side No. 1 defroster nozzle duct.

  4. REMOVE SIDE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 
    1. Remove the screw <F> and the side No. 2 defroster nozzle duct.

  5. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws <F> and the defroster nozzle assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 4 screws <F> and the No. 2 heater to register duct.

  7. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws to remove the side defroster nozzle.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Satellite Radio)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  9. REMOVE NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Satellite Radio)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  10. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation Antenna)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 clamps to remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.
  12. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 14
  13. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH 
    1. Disengage the 8 claws and 2 clips to remove the defroster nozzle garnish.

  14. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the automatic light control sensor.

  15. REMOVE ENGINE SWITCH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the engine switch.

  16. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SPACER 
    1. Remove the instrument panel spacer.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN 
    1. Remove the 4 screws <F> and the 4 No. 1 instrument panel pins.

  18. REMOVE NO. 1 METER HOOD RETAINER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws <F> and the No. 1 meter hood retainer.

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 METER HOOD RETAINER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws <F> and the No. 2 meter hood retainer.
