Removal

1UR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER COVER Removal

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FENDER APRON TO FRAME SEAL LH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FENDER APRON TO FRAME SEAL RH Removal

8. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the intake manifold Removal.

9. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the generator Removal.

10. DISCONNECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

(a) Remove the dipstick.

(b) Remove the bolt and dipstick guide.





(c) Remove the O-ring from the dipstick guide.

12. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE STOPPER BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and exhaust pipe stopper bracket.

13. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

(c) Disconnect the exhaust pipe support, and then remove the front No. 2 exhaust pipe and 2 gaskets.

14. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs from the center exhaust pipe.

(c) Remove the 2 nuts and front exhaust pipe.

(d) Remove the 2 gaskets.

15. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR WITH BRACKET Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY Removal

17. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 manifold stay.





18. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 nuts and EGR pipe.





(b) Remove the 2 gaskets.

19. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.





20. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

(b) Remove the 9 nuts, exhaust manifold and 2 gaskets.





21. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.





22. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.





23. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

(b) Remove the 9 nuts, exhaust manifold and 2 gaskets.





24. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) Removal

25. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) Removal
