REMOVAL (To 8/2009): Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH  See step  2
  3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 exhaust pipe dampers.

  4. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 4 exhaust pipe supports.
    3. Remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly.
  5. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Remove the center exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
    3. Remove the gasket from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
  6. REMOVE OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 gaskets from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
  8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 2).

    2. Loosen the bolt (A).

    3. Remove the 2 bolts (B), 2 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.
    4. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.
  9. REMOVE NO. 2 OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
