REMOVAL (To 8/2009): Removal

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the No. 2 radiator assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 
    1. Disconnect the 3 clips.

    2. Remove the 2 screws, 4 bolts and front floor cover LH.
  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 3 clamps and oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 2).

    2. Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 compression springs and No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the 3 gaskets from the No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
  4. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. Remove the bolt, nut and manifold stay.

  5. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 1).
    2. Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.

  6. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET 
    1. Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  See step  8
  9. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. Remove the bolt, nut and No. 2 manifold stay.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 10
  11. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 1).

    2. Disconnect the sensor wire from the radiator pipe clamp.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.

  12. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

  13. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET LH 
    1. Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket LH from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
