INSTALLATION (To 8/2009): Installation

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the fan assembly with motor to the radiator with the 3 guides at the bottom and attach the claw.

    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    3. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator, and radiator assembly and fan assembly with motor.

      NOTE:

      Do not apply any excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

    4. Connect the 3 wire harness clamps and connector.

    5. Install the radiator assembly with the 4 bolts and 4 brackets.

      *1 Cooler bracket
      *2 Cooler compressor bracket

      Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf) 

    6. Install the 2 radiator support cushions.

  2. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts and connect the 3 clamps of the hood lock control cable to the upper radiator support.

      *1 Bolt

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  5. INSTALL SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  6. INSTALL LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  7. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  8. CONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Connect the outlet oil cooler hose to the radiator.

  9. CONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Connect the clamp and inlet oil cooler hose to the radiator.

  10. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator.

  11. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator.

  12. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator.

    2. Install the radiator reserve tank with the bolt and connect the 2 clamps to the radiator.

      Torque: 5.3 N*m (54 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf) 

  13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  14. INSTALL HOOD CUSHION CENTER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  15. INSTALL BATTERY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 71
  16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 86
  17. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 72
  18. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 73
  19. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  See step  8
  20. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  21. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID 
  22. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 6
  23. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  24. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 113
  25. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  26. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  27. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  28. ADD WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  29. WARM UP ENGINE  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 3
  30. PREPARE VEHICLE FOR FOG LIGHT AIM  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 1
  31. PREPARE FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 2
  32. INSPECT FOG LIGHT AIMING  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 3
  33. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIMING  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 4
  34. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)  . Refer to ADJUSTMENT - Step 1
