DTC P2601-779: Oil Pump Control Circuit Range / Performance: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
Result Proceed to P2601-779 only is output. A P0A08-264 is also output. B - Turn the power switch off.

- CHECK FUSE (OIL PMP)
- Remove the OIL PMP fuse from the engine room junction block assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG → REPLACE FUSE (OIL PMP)
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT RELAY (OIL PMP)
- Remove the OIL PMP relay from the engine room junction block assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Always 151 to 203 Ω 3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω - Install the OIL PMP relay.
NG → REPLACE RELAY (OIL PMP)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - OIL PUMP - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative auxiliary battery terminal.
- Disconnect the cable from the positive auxiliary battery terminal.
- Remove the OIL PMP relay from the engine room junction block assembly.
- Disconnect the A15 connector from the oil pump with motor assembly.

Combined resistance (R1, R2 and R3) of each part in the wire harness is below 6 Ω.
- Connect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.
- Install the OIL PMP relay.
- Connect the cable to the positive auxiliary battery terminal.
- Connect the cable to the negative auxiliary battery terminal.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY)
- Remove the OIL PMP relay from the engine room junction block assembly.
- Disconnect connector A58 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

- Install the OIL PMP relay.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Replace the oil pump with motor assembly. Refer toCOMPONENTS .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CLEAR DTC. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.

Result Proceed to P2601-779 is not output. A P2601-779 is output again. B - Turn the power switch off.

- GO TO DTC CHART (P0A08-264). Refer to DTC P0A08-264: DC / DC Converter Status Circuit
- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to COMPONENTS
