DTC P2601-777: Oil Pump Control Circuit Range / Performance: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) 
    1. Check the connections of the oil pump with motor assembly connector.

      OK

      The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR). Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 

    NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect connector from the oil pump with motor assembly.
    2. Disconnect connector A58 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A58-47 (OPM1) - A15-3 (OPM) Power switch off Below 1 Ω

      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A58-47 (OPM1) or A15-3 (OPM) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU)
      *2 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Oil Pump with Motor Assembly)
    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A58-47 (OPM1) or A15-3 (OPM) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V
      NOTE:

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    6. Turn the power switch off.
    7. Connect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
    8. Connect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect connector A58 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A58-47 (OPM1) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU)
    3. Connect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect connector from the oil pump with motor assembly.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A15-3 (OPM) - A15-4 (L) Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Component without harness connected
      (Oil Pump with Motor Assembly)
    3. Connect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → See step   7 

  6. REPLACE OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to COMPONENTS 
  7. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to COMPONENTS
