DTC P0AE2-161: Hybrid Battery Precharge Contactor Circuit Stuck Closed: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
Result Proceed to P0AE0-228 is not output. A P0AE0-228 is also output. B - Turn the power switch off.

- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Check the connection of the hybrid vehicle converter connector.

- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Check the connection of the hybrid battery junction block assembly connectors.

After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Remove the hybrid battery junction block assembly. Refer toCOMPONENTS .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
