Inspection Procedure

HINT

The power tilt and power telescopic steering column system uses the multiplex communication system, so check its diagnostic system before proceeding to troubleshooting

1. Check if DTC B2621 is output.

   HINT

   • If DTC B2621 besides B2602 and B2606 are output, perform troubleshooting for B2621 first
   • DTC B2621 indicates a communication interruption for the power tilt and power telescopic steering column system.

B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE  (See DTC B2621 COMMUNICATION INTERRUPTION  )

A: Go to next step 

1. Turn the engine switch off
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG)
4. Turn the Techstream on
5. Check the communication state of the Techstream. Enter the following menus. Chassis / Tilt&Telescopic / Data List.

NG: CHECK SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Start Function)  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

OK: Go to next step 

1. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  )
2. Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

   OK: DTC B2602 and/or B2606 is not output. 

NG: REPLACE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU  (See REMOVAL  )

OK: END
