Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed (See INITIALIZATION
).
- INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
- Disconnect the Q13 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q13-1 - Q13-2 Always Below 1 MΩ
NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- Disconnect the Q38 connector of the seat belt control ECU
- Using SST, connect Q13-1 and Q13-2 of the wire harness connector for the front seat outer belt assembly LHNOTE: Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector.

- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q38-2 (MOL+) - Q38-11 (MOL-) Always Below 1 Ω
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU (See SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU )
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
