- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Enter the following menus. Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.
- According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

- REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY
- Replace the multi-display (See REMOVAL ).
- CONFIRM MIRROR HEATER OPERATION
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Press the window defogger switch, and check that the mirror heaters operate.
OK: Mirrors become warm.
NG: REPLACE A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
OK: END
- REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL
- Replace the integration control and panel (See REMOVAL )
- CONFIRM MIRROR HEATER OPERATION
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Press the window defogger switch, and check that the mirror heaters operate
OK: Mirrors become warm.
NG: Go to step 9
OK: END
- REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
- Replace the radio receiver assembly (See REMOVAL )
- CONFIRM MIRROR HEATER OPERATION
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Press the window defogger switch, and check that the mirror heaters operate
OK: Mirrors become warm.
NG: REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: END
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to issue a control command, and then check MIR HTR relay operation.
- Check that operation sound of the MIR HTR relay can be heard.
OK: Operation sound of the MIR HTR relay can be heard.
NG: Go to step 15
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT MIR HTR RELAY
(See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
NG: REPLACE MIR HTR RELAY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MIR HTR RELAY - BATTERY)
- Disconnect the MIR HTR relay
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MIR HTR RELAY - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR)
- Disconnect the MIR HTR relay and outer rear view mirror assembly connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG: REPLACE HEATER MIRROR RELAY

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MIR HTR RELAY - BATTERY)
- Disconnect the MIR HTR relay.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MIR HTR RELAY - A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the MIR HTR relay and A/C amplifier assembly connector
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
