How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Interview the customer to confirm the problem.

      HINT.

      It is important to collect as much specific information as possible from the customer to allow for a quick repair.

  3. ADJUST TIRE PRESSURE* 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Turn the Techstream on
    5. Read the "ID Tire Inflation Pressure" data. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.
    6. Set the tire pressure of all the wheels to the specified value (See TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM  ).
    7. Check the Data List.

      HINT:

      • It takes about 2 or 3 minutes to display the updated tire pressure data
      • If the problem is that the tire pressure decreases, wait until all of the tire pressure data is received by the ECU. If the data is received, the tire pressure warning light will go off

    B: Go to step  9

  4. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).

      Result

      DTC is output A
      DTC is not output B

    B: Go to step  6

    A: Go to next step

    1. Refer to the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  .

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  7. CIRCUIT INSPECTION* 
    1. Refer to the ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE
  8. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
    1. Repair or replace parts based on the diagnostic result
  9. CONFIRMATION TEST 
    1. Check the Data List to confirm that the tire inflation pressure has been received (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST  ).
    2. Perform the initialization (See INITIALIZATION  ).
    3. Confirm that the initialization has been completed.
