Front Lower Suspension Arm: Removal

HINT

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  2. SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR  (See FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER )
  3. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY  (See FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER )
  4. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY  (See FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER )
  5. REMOVE FRONT DISC  (See REMOVAL )
  6. SEPARATE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING  (See FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER )
  7. SEPARATE STEERING KNUCKLE WITH AXLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the steering knuckle with axle assembly

  8. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  10. REMOVE NO.2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  11. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Support the front suspension crossmember with a transmission jack
      NOTE: Be sure to place a wooden block between the front suspension crossmember and transmission jack.

    2. Loosen the nut of the No. 2 lower arm bracket assembly.
      NOTE: Do not remove the nut.

    3. Remove the bolt, washer, and nut on the front of the front lower suspension arm assembly

    4. Remove the 4 bolts, a nut, side rail plate, and front lower suspension arm assembly with the No 2 lower arm bracket assembly

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut, washer, and No 2 lower arm bracket assembly from the front lower suspension arm assembly
