    B: Go to next Step

  2. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SYSTEM (OPEN OPERATION)
    1. When the luggage compartment door opener inner switch is operated, check that the luggage compartment door opens (See OPERATION CHECK )

      OK: Luggage compartment door opens.

NG: GO TO LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SYSTEM (Luggage Compartment Door Opener does not Operate)  (See LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER DOES NOT OPERATE )

    OK: Go to next Step

OK: On the Techstream screen, the display changes between ON and OFF according to the chart above.

    NG: Go to step  9

    OK: Go to next Step

  4. CHECK WAVE ENVIRONMENT
    1. Bring the electrical key transmitter near the outside electrical key oscillator (luggage compartment), and perform an entry luggage compartment open function check
NOTE: If the key is brought within 0.2 m (0.656 ft) of the rear bumper, communication is not possible.

      HINT

      • When the electrical key transmitter is brought near the outside electrical key oscillator (luggage compartment), the possibility of wave interference decreases, and it can be determined if wave interference is causing the problem symptom
      • If the operation check is normal, the possibility of wave interference is high. Also, added vehicle components may cause wave interference. If installed, remove them and perform the operation check

      OK: Entry functions operate normally.

    NG: Go to step 5

    OK: AFFECTED BY WAVE INTERFERENCE

  5. PERFORM KEY DIAGNOSTIC MODE INSPECTION
    1. Diagnostic mode inspection (outside electrical key oscillator (luggage compartment))
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3
      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG)
      3. Turn the Techstream on
      4. Enter the following menus Body Electrical / Smart Access / Utility / Communication Check (Key Diag Mode) / Overhead + Luggage (outside)
      5. When the electrical key transmitter is held at the same height as the rear bumper upper surface aligning it with the center of the rear of the vehicle, check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds

        HINT

If the buzzer sounds, it can be determined that the luggage compartment exterior transmitter is operating normally.

OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds.

    NG: Go to step 6

OK: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)  (See REMOVAL  )

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - OUTSIDE ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR)
    1. Disconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector
    2. Disconnect the outside electrical key oscillator (luggage compartment) connector
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE
