Inspection Procedure

NOTE: Since the smart access system with push-button start has functions that use multiplex communication (BEAN), first confirm that there is no malfunction in the multiplex communication system by inspecting the multiplex communication functions in accordance with the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure. Then, conduct the following inspection procedure (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  ).
  1. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (OPERATION) 
    1. When the engine switch is on (IG) and the shift lever is in R, check that the combination meter buzzer sounds

      OK: Combination meter buzzer sounds. 

    NG: GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM  (See METER / GAUGE SYSTEM )

    OK: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)  (See REMOVAL  )
