High Intensity Discharge Headlight Bulb: Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for LH Side) (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE WASHER HOSE (for LH Side)
1. Remove the bolt and the washer hose.

REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (for RH Side) (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (for RH Side) (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER
1. Remove the No. 1 headlight back cover as shown in the illustration.

REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER GASKET
1. Remove the No 1 headlight cover gasket.
  NOTE: After the No. 1 headlight cover gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.
REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB
1. Separate the light control ECU socket as shown in the illustration.

2. Release the set spring and remove the discharge headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.
  NOTE: Do not touch the bulb glass.
