Rear Axle Carrier: Removal

HINT.

  1. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY 

    HINT

    Refer to the procedure up to Remove Rear Axle Assembly (See REMOVAL  ).

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 WHEEL BEARING DUST DEFLECTOR  (See REMOVAL  )
  3. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  4. REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Hold the rear axle hub carrier sub-assembly between aluminum plates in a vise
      NOTE: Do not overtighten the vise.
    2. Remove the 2 nuts, parking brake anchor block, cable support bracket and parking brake plate.
