Water Pump: Removal

- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See COOLANT )
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
- Disconnect the No 2 radiator hose from the water inlet housing
- DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
- Disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water inlet housing.
- DISCONNECT WATER INLET HOSE
- Disconnect the water inlet hose from the water inlet housing.
- DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
- Disconnect the No 3 water by-pass hose from the water inlet housing
- REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING
- Remove the 3 bolts, water inlet housing and gasket.
- REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY
- Using a screwdriver or an equivalent, hold the water pump pulley.
HINT.
Tape the screwdriver tip before use to avoid damage.
- Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.
- Using a screwdriver or an equivalent, hold the water pump pulley.
- REMOVE WATER PUMP
- Remove the 9 bolts, water pump and gasket.
