Section 14 (Cooling): Thermostat: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  (See COOLANT )
  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  5. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE WATER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH THERMOSTAT 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts, water inlet sub-assembly with thermostat and gasket
