Cooling (2UZ-FE): Radiator: Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag activation.
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
1. Disconnect the radiator hose.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
1. Disconnect the radiator hose.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE
1. Disconnect the tube from the radiator.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE
1. Disconnect the tube from the radiator.
REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the clamp on the wire from the radiator.
2. Disconnect the reservoir hose from the radiator.
3. Remove the 2 bolts, reservoir and grommet.
REMOVE FAN SHROUD
1. Remove the 2 nuts, and disconnect the 2 clamps on the A/C discharge tube from the 2 wire harness brackets.
2. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect the 2 wire harness brackets from the radiator.
3. Disconnect the 2 oil cooler tubes from the clamp on the fan shroud.

4. Loosen the fan pulley mounting nuts holding the fluid coupling to the fan bracket.
5. Remove the drive belt (See REMOVAL ).
6. Remove the 3 bolts holding the fan shroud to the radiator.

7. Remove the 4 fan pulley mounting nuts.
8. Pull out the fan with fluid coupling, fan pulley and fan shroud.

REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 nuts.
2. Remove the 2 bolts.

3. Lift out the radiator.
