REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman): Installation

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

  1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Install the seatback adjuster with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.
  2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Install the seatback adjuster with the 4 nuts.
      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the seat adjuster with the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) for bolt A 

      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:

      Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Install the rear seat cushion airbag.
    2. Install the wire harness clamp and connect the connector.
    3. Install the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  5. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the seat adjuster with the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) for bolt A 

      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:

      Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Connect the seatback assembly to the seatback adjuster, and press down on the seatback assembly to install it to the seatback adjuster. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle.
    2. Install the seatback assembly to the seat cushion adjuster with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
    3. Attach the seatback's upper rear side clip, and attach the fastening tape.
    4. Connect the rear air hose.
    5. Connect the connectors and wire harness clamps.

    6. Connect the seat belt anchor and install the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    7. Connect the 4 connectors.

    8. Install the junction block with the bolt.
    9. Install the seat belt to the seat belt guide.

    10. Attach the 2 claws.
  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Connect the seatback assembly to the seatback adjuster, and press down on the seatback assembly to install it to the seatback adjuster. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle.
    2. Install the seatback assembly to the seat cushion adjuster with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
    3. Attach the seatback's upper rear side clip, and attach the fastening tape.
    4. Connect the connectors and wire harness clamps.

    5. Connect the 3 connectors.

    6. Install the junction block with the bolt.
    7. Connect the seat belt anchor and install the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    8. Install the seat belt to the seat belt guide.

    9. Attach the 2 claws.

    1. Install the seat cushion.
      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System: Connect the connector.
    3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion to the seat cushion adjuster.
    4. Install the seat cushion ottoman part with the 2 nuts.
    5. Install the 2 clips.

    1. Install the seat cushion.
      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:

      Connect the connector.

    3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion to the seat cushion adjuster.
  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  12. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  14. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  15. INSPECT REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the power seat operation (see OPERATION CHECK ).
    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:

      Check the climate control seat system (see OPERATION CHECK ).
