Rear Seat Outer Belt Assembly With PRETENSIONER: Installation

  1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER

    1. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw.
    2. Temporarily install the outer belt with the 2 bolts.
    3. Tighten the rear side bolt first, then the front side bolt to install the outer belt.

      Torque: 

      42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) for rear bolt 

      7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf) for front bolt 

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Insert the claw of the retractor (a) into the hole.

    2. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the seat belt with the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Insert the claw of the retractor (a) into the hole.

    2. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the seat belt with the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL NO. 5 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Sunshade) 
    1. Except Ottoman:
      1. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
      2. Attach the 5 claws and 2 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.

      3. Attach the 4 claws to install the 3 belt guides.

    2. for Ottoman:
      1. Pass the 2 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

      2. Attach the 5 claws and 2 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.
      3. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 belt guides.

  11. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH  (See INSTALLATION )

  14. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  15. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. for Standard Body:

      Install the rear door scuff plate (see INSTALLATION ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Install the rear door scuff plate (see INSTALLATION ).

  16. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. for Standard Body:

      Install the rear door scuff plate (see INSTALLATION ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Install the rear door scuff plate (see INSTALLATION ).

  17. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)  (See INSTALLATION )
  18. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)  (See INSTALLATION )
  19. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)  (See INSTALLATION )
  20. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Ottoman)  (See INSTALLATION )
  21. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Ottoman)  (See INSTALLATION )
  22. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.
    2. Check if the ELR locks.
      NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
      1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  23. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
  24. CONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER 
    1. for Power Seat:

      Install the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly center with the nut.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

    2. for Fixed Seat Type:

      Install the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly center with the nut.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

    3. Check if the ELR locks.
      NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
      1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
  25. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)  (See INSTALLATION )
  26. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. for Power Seat:
      1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly (see INSTALLATION ).
    2. for Ottoman Seat:
      1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly (see INSTALLATION ).
  27. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. for Power Seat:
      1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly (see INSTALLATION ).
    2. for Ottoman Seat:
      1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly (see INSTALLATION ).
  28. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  29. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  30. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
