Airbag Sensor ASSY Center: Replacement

- DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (SEE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM )
- REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSY UPPER (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.1 (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.2 (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY REAR (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET FRONT (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX DUCT NO.1 (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
- Disconnect the 3 connectors from the airbag sensor assy center.
- Remove the 3 bolts and airbag sensor assy center.
- INSPECT AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER (SEE ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
- Check that the ignition switch turn OFF.
- Check that the battery negative terminal is disconnected.NOTE: Do not start the operation for 90 seconds after removing the terminal.
- Temporarily install the airbag sensor assy center with the 3 bolts.
- Tighten the 3 bolts to the specified torque.
Torque: 17.5 N.m (178 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
- Connect the connector to the airbag sensor assy center.
- Check that no play is identified.
- Check that the water-proof sheet is properly set.
- INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
