FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): Disassembly

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WITH INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Release the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board from the front seat frame.

    2. Remove the 6 screws.
    3. Disengage the claw and separate the front seat cushion shield assembly.
    4. Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.

  5. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Detach the claw and disconnect the cushion shield inner from the cushion shield.

  6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and switch.

  7. REMOVE LOWER OUTER SEAT TRACK SPACER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and spacer.

  8. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the cushion shield.

  9. REMOVE LOWER INNER SEAT TRACK SPACER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and spacer from the cushion shield inner.

  10. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System) 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the front power seat switch.
  11. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System) 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the front power seat switch.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Cut off the tack pins that fasten the seat heater, and then remove the front seat cushion heater assembly from the seat cushion cover.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seatback Board) 
    1. Open the lower part of the seatback board. Then remove the 2 screws.
    2. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws. Then, remove the seatback board.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the headrest support.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/o Seatback Board) 
    1. Open the 2 zippers and seatback cover.

    2. Remove the hog rings and hooks.

    3. Remove the nut and 2 seatback cover brackets.

    1. Remove the hog ring and hooks.

    2. Remove the hog rings and hooks.

    3. Remove the hog rings.

    4. Remove the nut and 2 seatback cover brackets.

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Cut off the tack pins that fasten the seat heater, and then remove the front seatback heater assembly from the seat cushion cover.
  22. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Disconnect the harness.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and lower reclining adjuster inside cover RH.
  23. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Disconnect the harness.

    2. Remove the 2 screws lower reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  24. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside upper cover RH.

  25. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside upper cover LH.

  26. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Remove the screw and detach the hook of the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

  27. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw and detach the hook of the front seat lower cushion shield.

  28. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector and clamps.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster.

  29. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.
    2. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the 6 "torx" bolts and remove the seatback climate control cover and blower.

  30. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Separate the 2 clamps (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow (1).
    2. Separate the 2 clamps (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2).
    3. Disengage the 2 claws, and remove the seat cushion climate control duct LH.

  31. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the screw, detach the claw and remove the blower with bracket.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushes and blower from the bracket.

  32. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the seat slide position sensor protector.
    3. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the "torx" bolt and seat position sensor.
  33. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  34. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE
