Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH  .

      Standard resistance 

      FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P8-1 - P8-2  Always  Below 1 M ohms

    NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the O38 connector of the seat belt control ECU.
    3. Using a service wire, connect P8-1 and P8-2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly RH side.
      NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU  .

      Standard resistance 

      FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O38-1 (MOR+) - O38-10 (MOR-)  Always  Below 1 ohms

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
