Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH  .

      Standard voltage 

      FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P8-1 - Body ground  Engine switch on (IG)  Below 1 V 
      P8-2 - Body ground  Engine switch on (IG)  Below 1 V

    NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal .
    2. Disconnect the O38 connector of the seat belt control ECU.
    3. Connect the negative (-) terminal to the battery.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU  .

      Standard voltage 

      FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P8-1 - Body ground  Engine switch on (IG)  Below 1 V 
      P8-2 - Body ground  Engine switch on (IG)  Below 1 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
