Inspection Procedure

CHECK STOP Lamp SWITCH OPERATION (STOP Lamp SWITCH CIRCUIT)
1. Check that the stop light comes on when the brake pedal is depressed and turns off when the brake pedal is released.
  Standard: Stop lamp switch function is normal.
  
  NG: Go to step 6
  
  OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STP TERMINAL)
1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S1.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in Fig 2 .

NG: Go to step 5

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
CHECK REAR COMBINATION Lamp ASSY LH (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
NG: REPLACE REAR COMBINATION Lamp ASSY LH

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
RECONFIRM DTC
1. Clear the DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Check if the same DTCs are recorded. (See PRE-CHECK )
HINT:

It is suspect that the DTCs output was caused by the poor connection of the connector terminal.

NO: RECOVERY TO NORMAL

YES: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STOP Lamp SWITCH - SKID CONTROL ECU)
1. Disconnect the stop lamp switch connector S13 and skid control ECU connector S1.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 4 .

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
INSPECT STOP Lamp SWITCH ASSY
1. Disconnect the stop lamp switch assy connector S31.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 6 .

NG: REPLACE STOP Lamp SWITCH ASSY

OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (STOP Lamp CIRCUIT)
