Abs & Traction Actuator ASSY: Replacement
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: Wash the brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surfaces.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
- Using SST(s), disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.

- Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.
- Pull the lock lever upward.
- Disconnect the actuator connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts, the nut and the actuator with bracket.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes. - Using SST(s), disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.
- REMOVE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY
- Remove the 2 nuts and the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy from the brake actuator bracket.
- INSTALL ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY
- Install the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
- INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
- Install the actuator with bracket and the 2 bolts and the-nut.
Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes. - Install the actuator with bracket and the 2 bolts and the-nut.
- Connect the actuator connector.
- Using SST(s), connect each brake tube to correct positions of the actuator with bracket, as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 15 N.m (155 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lbf)
- Install the ABS & TRACTION actuator assy with the 2 nuts.
- FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID (See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM )
- BLEED MASTER CYLINDER (See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM
)

- BLEED BRAKE LINE (See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM )
- CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM )
- CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
- CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH HAND-HELD TESTER (See PRE-CHECK )
