Parking Brake
NOTE:
Before adjusting parking brake, make sure that rear brake shoe clearance has been adjusted. See PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE .
- With a force of 68 lbs. (31 kg), depress parking brake pedal while counting clicks. If 6-8 clicks are not counted, parking brake requires adjustment.
- Adjust rear brake shoe clearance. See PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE .
- Loosen lock nut, and turn adjusting nut until pedal travel is correct. See Fig 1. Tighten lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
