Installation (ES 300)

  1. Install a NEW gasket to vacuum brake booster and Install brake booster assembly. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install front brake tube No. 5 with special tool (09023-00100) and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install push rod clevis and lock nut.
  4. Apply lithium soap base glycol grease and install push rod pin and clip.
  5. Install instrument panel components and front door scuff plate.
  6. Install vacuum hose line to body with bolt and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect vacuum hose to vacuum brake booster with clip.
  7. Install charcoal canister assembly with bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Install master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER .
  9. Fill reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Check for fluid leakage. Ensure brake pedal height is correct. See BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT & FREE PLAY  under ADJUSTMENTS.
