Removal & Installation (IS 300)

  1. Remove brake fluid.
  2. Disconnect brake fluid level switch harness connector.
  3. Using special tool (09023-00100) disconnect brake lines.
  4. Disconnect brake hoses. Remove nuts and pull out check valve bracket, brake hose clamp, master cylinder and gasket.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten installation nuts and brake lines to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Adjust length of brake booster push rod. See POWER BRAKE UNIT PUSH ROD  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  7. Fill brake reservoir and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  8. Check system for leaks.
  9. Check and adjust brake pedal. See BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT & FREE PLAY  under ADJUSTMENTS.
