Installation (SC 430)

  1. Install brake master cylinder assembly and tighten assembly nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install brake lines to body with nuts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Using special tool (09023-00100) and spanner, connect front brake line on left side to flexible hose and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Using special tool (09023-00100), connect each brake line to its correct position on brake master cylinder. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
  6. Fill reservoir and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  7. Check and adjust brake pedal height and free play. See BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT & FREE PLAY  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  8. Check pedal reserve distance. See PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE  under TESTING.
  9. Check fluid level in reservoir and check for brake fluid leakage.
