Intake Manifold (G2410760): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

NOTE: Steps 1-4 are only required if previously removed.
- Connect the fuel vapor pipe to the intake manifold.
- Install the clip.
- Install the MAPT sensor.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 4.1 Nm

- Install a new throttle body seal.
  Renew Part: Throttle body to intake manifold seal Quantity: 1 .
- Install the throttle body to the intake manifold.
- Install, but do not fully tighten the 4 bolts.

Tighten the 4 bolts in the illustrated sequence.

Torque : 12 Nm

Install the 6 new seals to the intake manifold.

Renew Part: Intake manifold seals Quantity: 6 .

- Install the intake manifold.
- Install and tighten the 9 bolts in the illustrated sequence.
  Torque : 12 Nm
CAUTION: Fuel lines may only be reused one time. After final tightening, clean the fuel line and apply a paint mark to identify reuse. If the fuel line is already paint marked, a new fuel line must be installed.
- Install the fuel line.
- Finger tighten the union.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 11.5 Nm
- Fully tighten the union.
  Torque : 20 Nm
- Wait for 30 seconds and recheck the final torque of the fuel line union.
  Torque : 20 Nm
- Reposition the wiring harness into the correct location.
- Install the 4 clips.
- Connect the electrical connector to the MAPT sensor.
- Connect the electrical connector to the throttle body.
- Reposition the coolant hoses into the correct location.
- Install the 3 clips.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 12 Nm
- Connect the coolant hose.
- Connect the coolant pipe.
- Reposition the coolant hoses into the correct location.
- Install the 2 clamps.
- Install the 2 clips.
- Install the purge valve assembly.
- Install the 2 clips.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 7 Nm
- Connect the fuel vapor pipe.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the purge valve assembly.
- Reposition the vacuum pipe into the correct location.
- Install the 2 clips.
- Install the NVH material.
- Install the 2 fasteners.
- Reposition the oil level gauge into the correct location.
- Install the clip.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 7 Nm
CAUTION: Make sure the clip is correctly installed.
- Connect the fuel line.
- Install the clip.
- Install the coolant hose assembly.
- Connect the 4 coolant hoses.
- Install the 4 clamps.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Torque : 7 Nm
- Install the charge air cooler outlet hose.
- Tighten the clamp.
  Torque : 7 Nm
Install the fuel vapor pipe.
- Install the charge air recirculation pipe.
- Install the clip.
Install the secondary bulkhead left panel.

Install the charge air cooler.
Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER
Install the air filter outlet pipe.
Refer to: AIR FILTER OUTLET PIPE
Install the air filter housing.
Refer to: AIR FILTER HOUSING
Install the engine cover.
Refer to: ENGINE COVER - INGENIUM I6 3.0L PETROL
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Vacuum fill the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
Bleed the fuel system.
