Logging Strategy
- Drive vehicle with a variety of drive styles for 30 minutes. If safe to do so complete some hard accelerations and that these last at least 6 seconds. Include some periods of engine at idle
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check datalogger signal
- Intake Air Temperature Sensor (0xF468)
- Air Charge Temperature (0x051C)
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Check sensor output changes with temperature
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the intake manifold TMAP sensor circuit for
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to power
- Open circuit
- High resistance
- Install new intake manifold TMAP sensor, only when diagnosed as failed
